Nestled in the heart of Wiltshire, come down to Longleat Safari and Adventure Park and make friends with some real wild animals. Since it opened its doors in 1966 Longleat has become the UK’s #1 Safari Park. Whether on foot, inside your car, or onboard a boat heading down the river, there’s plenty to see and do. Why not take a walk through the Jungle Kingdom where you can get up-close and personal with Meerkats, take a ride on the train, or hand-feed the Rainbow Lorikeets?
If that wasn’t enough, it’s all set in the grounds of the spectacular Longleat House – an Elizabeth home owned by the same family for 400 years. Make sure you check out the tours and exhibitions in the House, and the numerous shows and events going on throughout the year.
Animal-lovers should also check out our reviews of London Zoo and Marwell Zoo.
If you’re in the area for a while, why not visit the Roman Baths or Stonehenge?
