Help save the wonders of the animal kingdom by visiting Marwell Zoo, home to over 170 endangered species. Discover all kinds of wildlife, from leaf-cutter ants in the Tropical World to the cheetahs of the Savannah Tracks. Check out the different animal coats in the Fur, Feathers and Scales exhibit, which contains an amazing walk-through aviary. With a free road train service, you don’t have to worry about getting tired as you make your way around the zoo.
If you’re a plant-lover, check out the zoo’s Formal Gardens, based on varying garden styles of the 16th and 17th centuries. There are no less than five Adventure Playgrounds where kids can climb ropes and frames, and picnic shelters where you can relax with a spot of lunch. And don’t forget to pick up your Explorers Trail, which will guide you around the site and let you collect stamps!
There are also a range of special events at Marwell throughout the year
