blue{shift} is based in West London and teaches coding to primary school aged children through classes and workshops. They create their own teaching materials utilising a number of different programming environments, languages and approaches.
Their current courses focus on teaching the fundamentals of programming in a fun and creative way, using a range of environments including Scratch, JavaScript, Python, HTML/CSS and coding for Minecraft. They offer After School Clubs, Holiday camps and workshops for kids from 6 to 12 years old.
.
They believe that if taught with a focus on creativity, learning to code will not only equip children with the technical skills they need to excel in the future, but will also teach them critical problem solving skills and allow them to become active creators of technology instead of passive users.
Using a combination of online and offline activities, blue{shift} helps kids to understand the logic behind computing. Through designing apps, creating digital artwork, robotics, or even creating websites, children will get a grasp of technology that will equip them for the future.
