A perfect place to go with cheeky monkeys, kids will love flying through the tree tops at Go Ape. Come rain or shine, children, parents, and even active grannies and grandpas can have a great time.
With such a variety of locations set in some of the most beautiful forests in the UK, you are bound to find one convenient for you. Go Ape is also a great holiday activity if your family have opted for a ‘staycation’ with plenty of sites dotted along the south coast. Just check the website to see what adventures and activities your chosen site offers.
The course and safety briefing takes between two and three hours. You are not required to wear a helmet but if you’d rather wear one, ask before you get harnessed up.
For the traditional Go Ape experience, kids must be 10 or over, and over 1.4m tall. Under 16s must be supervised by a participating adult. For younger climbers, try Tree Top Junior, specially designed for kids aged 6 to 12 (or open to under 6s who are over 1m tall). Participants stay attached the whole time they are in the trees, so adults can watch and laugh from below!
I have taken my three boys to a number of Go Apes around the country and we have all enjoyed everyone. There is a great mix of excitement and challenge whilst also feeling safe and well looked after. I highly recommend.
