Calling all parents, guardians, carers and teachers! If you are in need of something to keep your kids entertained this Christmas take part in a project which helps kids to express how they are feeling through photography.
The Photography Movement believes picking up a camera is a valuable tool to support our mental health and wants to encourage kids and teens to start using photography as a mindful practice.
They’ve joined forces with world-leading photographers to create four workshop films which are freely available online. Designed for 11-18 year olds, the Show and Tell workshops aim to teach children photography techniques to support their mental wellbeing.
So, if you’re looking to keep your kids entertained this Christmas, why not participate in their project which helps kids to express how they are feeling through photography. Start by asking them how they feel and then see if they can reflect that in an image by taking a picture with a phone or tablet.
There’s also a chance for your kids’ pictures to be shown at a nationwide exhibition- check out their website at www.thephotographymovement.com or send them a DM @showandtellphoto to find out more.
We’re looking forward to seeing the results. So get snapping! 📷 ‘
