Following on from Shaun’s first feature film which came out earlier this year, he is now making an appearance all over London. Much like the Paddington Trail in November and December last year, from 28th March, London will plat host to a flock of 50 individually designed Shaun the Sheep.
Each Shaun has been individually designed, including a Gruffalo Shaun designed by Gruffalo illustrator Axel Scheffler and a very flowery Shaun by designer Cath Kidston. This is even a Hello Kitty Shaun and a Paddington Shaun! Have a look here to see what all they all look like, to give you a head start before you start the trail.
The Shauns have been divided into four trails: Shaun’s Trail, Timmy’s Trail, Shirley’s Trail and Bitzer’s Trail, with an additional five on a specific but described as the Farmer’s Lost Sheep.
You can now download a map of the different trails. Each trail takes between thirty five minutes and a hour and ten minutes to complete making finding sheep a perfect activity to do with kids of all ages.
Shaun in the City will raise money for the Wallace and Gromit Children’s Charity which aims to improve the lives of sick children in hospitals and hospices throughout the UK.
There is also an app which can help you find your nearest sheep and follow the trails costing £1.49 with all proceeds going to the same charity. So even if you can’t buy one at the auction and let’s face that’s most of us, you can still do your part for a very worthwhile cause.
Alternatively, as you are out and about in London keep your eyes peeled for brightly coloured sheep!
The trail ends on 25th May. We hope ewe have a baa-rilliant time!
