Summer is in the air and there is so much fun to be had in the Capital this month. We’ve highlighted some of the things we cannot wait to do.
In Disney’s fantasy-adventure THE BFG, directed by Steven Spielberg and based on Roald Dahl’s beloved classic, a precocious 10-year old named Sophie (Ruby Barnhill) befriends the BFG (Oscar (TM) winner Mark Rylance), a Big Friendly Giant from Giant Country.
Tied in with the release of the BFG blockbuster movie and Roald Dahl’s Centenary, Dream Jars are going to pop up all over the capital this July. Created by some of the nation’s favourite celebrities, the trail is bound to make walking around London even more magical.
Not only is the BFG coming to cinemas, but so is Finding Dory and Ice Age: Collision Course. Even if it rain all July, the kids will certainly be entertained at the cinema. Teens will also enjoy Jason Bourne, Absolutely Fabulous and Star Trek. The Summer Blockbuster season is officially upon us.
The Gruffalo is one of those books that every parent has had to read to their kids at least 100 times. The play returns to the West End this summer the perfect solution if you’re hoarse from reading the story too many times!
The Festival of Love returns to the Southbank. And at the perfect time to, who else feels like a little bit of love is just what they need during these gloomy days?
Just because London isn’t be the sea, don’t mean there can’t be a beach. One of the best is Beach East in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Play in the sand and relive the glory days of the 2012 Olympics.
There’s always something weird and wonderful going on at Ripley’s Believe It or Not and this July is no exception as visitors will be able to get up close to incredible miniature sculptures.
Coming to the Discover Children’s Story Centre this July is an interactive exhibition based about all Dr Seuss’s beloved characters and stories. The last exhibition was about Michael Rosen’s Bear Hunt and was a great success (K-Ratings of 10 across the board) so expect much of the same.
