At first I was a little skeptical of going the Madame Tussauds because I’m just not that interested in celebrities but I actually had a pretty good time. Luckily, they had a good array of “people” there. I got to see Einstein, Van Gogh and Shakespeare to name a few. The bit I found the most interesting was actually the Behind The Scenes of Madame Tussauds. It was pretty fascinating to see how they construct the wax figures and all the time that goes into it.

  • Be prepared for the pumping music and high adrenaline from the start. I’m sure this encourages you to move around the attraction quicker but there’s no need to be rushed.
  • YouTube stars will appeal to teens and pop stars are fun to pose with for all ages.
  • This is ‘selfie central’ as you can touch the models so can get some fun photos.
  • Either buy priority entrance tickets or be prepared for a long wait in the line outside, especially in the summer.

It’s not my cup of tea. It’s crowded, expensive, and a bit run down. Teens will probably enjoy seeing celebrities and taking photos with their wax models, but it’s really an overwhelming and loud place for younger guests. It’s interesting to learn about how the wax models are made, but I was itching to leave shortly after arriving. I don’t think it’s a great place for young children.

My grandchildren were quite excited about going to Mme. Tussauds in London. But it is dated, unclean, crowded and all around a huge disappointment. There are schlocky gift stores every couple of feet. The signage is very poor. We were made to exit through a malt shoppe. I say, save your money!!

Whether you’re an adult or kid – this is such a fun experience and a brilliant opportunity for some hilarious photos! Don’t go at weekends though or you’ll spend your whole day queuing!
