Gusts of winds of up to 80 km/hour kept the London Fire Brigade busier than usual overnight, as they responded to reports of fallen trees. This morning at 9:25 BST a woman suffered what are thought to be non life-threatening injuries, when she was hit by a falling window on Tooley Street; and the Emirates Airline has suspended its cable car service across the Thames because of “adverse” weather conditions.
The Met Office has issued a yellow, “be aware”, weather warning for strong winds across London until 19:00 BST and the Dartford Crossing has been closed to all vehicles because of strong winds.
