Victoria Gallery, Bath

KidRated’s Victoria Gallery Top Tips:

Opened in 1900 to celebrate Queen Victoria’s 60th year on the throne, the Victoria Gallery is a FREE public art gallery in the historic city of Bath. From contemporary local artists to famous painters of the past, the gallery has a little bit of everything.

The collection includes many artists who lived and worked in the area such as Thomas Gainsborough, and paintings of significant places in Bath and the gert lush surrounding areas.

Temporary exhibitions last 6-12 weeks, so there is always something new to check out at the gallery.

There is no café but there are plenty of family friendly cafés and restaurants in Bath. There is a vending machine to get drinks if you are thirsty and a place to relax so bring some small change. There is also a gift shop.

Visit at half terms or during the holidays for a full range of family activities.
