Borough Market

KidRated’s Borough Market Top Tips:

  • Avoid taking prams and buggies
  • Go from Wednesday – Friday to experience the full market but fewer crowds
  • Be open to new foods and try as many tasters as possible!

Borough Market is the destination for London foodies. Wandering around the covered market you will be forgiven for imagining you are taking a gastronomic tour of the globe. Everything from baked goods and dairy products to spices, seafood, meat and seasonal vegetables can be found under one roof. The world is your oyster and you can find those too!

Fussy kids may be wary at first but this is a great environment to try exciting foods. There are also plenty of demonstrations and other events to keep you entertained. Click here to check what’s on at the time of your visit.

Some things can be pricey and while you may leave with your bellies full, your wallets may feel considerably lighter. There are however plenty of tasters to try as you walk round the market.  Before you go check out the interactive map on the website so that you do not miss any great stalls and also so that you don’t get lost in the maze-like market. Planning a route may mean the market is a little less hectic for you and your kids.

Once you have glutted yourselves why not check out the view from the Shard around the corner?
