A hugely entertaining show for kids — big and small. The plot is simple but the brilliant costume design, pyro, video effects and the theatre split into sections around the race track are not. For the parents, it’s all very 80’s, with a very modern twist. The girls absolutely loved it and roller-skated home, and sang “My Starlight Express, please answer me yes’… at the top of their voices for days afterwards. For noise sensitive kids consider taking ear protectors — it is really loud, because of the set design. And for hungry kids, there’s a couple of bars with great drink choices but they’re really light on snacks, so eat first at the Box Park opposite (or bring favorites with you). A summer must see!
