DJ, record producer, composer and songwriter, Sister Bliss started out in the band Faithless and is somewhat of a dance music legend. She lives in London with her family. We caught up with her to ask her all about her best family days out in London.
I always loved the Southbank – i was lucky enough that my parents took me to see many concerts, plays and art exhibitions there from a very young age – and I also performed there as a child, and more recently worked for the National Theatre so I guess it was integral to my ending up in the world of music and performance.
I also love its riverside location – it feels like the essence of London, the history of past and present overlap perfectly there – and I’m so grateful it continues to deliver such a varied programme for both adults and kids.
Well London is the city I know best and has the most incredible array of culture and activities for all ages to enjoy in all weathers. The list is endless!
Jamie Oliver’s restaurants are very family friendly – recently ate at the one in Angel and was impressed with gracious staff, drawing packs for every child at the table, fairly varied kids menu and rather tasty food – my son declared his spaghetti bolognese ‘ even better than mummy’s”- praise indeed!
Oxygen Freejumping – the trampoline park chain in Park Royal is a new favourite, Hampstead Heath and the Science Museum – they never fail to deliver!
Locally the new Picturehouse cinema in Crouch End is amazingly comfortable with reclining seats, so its almost a home from home, and always a great selection of movies from arthouse to blockbuster – plus special kids mornings at the weekends.
They also have 2 great bar areas and a ridiculous array of artisan chocolate!
