Located in Regent’s Park, London’s world-renowned zoo is home to over 750 species of animals, offering endless opportunities for fun and learning.
Kids will love the Animal Adventure zone, specifically designed for young explorers. They can get up close with friendly farm animals, play in the splash zone, and even meet the resident meerkats. This interactive area is perfect for hands-on learning and fostering a love for wildlife.
Additionally, the zoo’s daily animal shows and feeding times are a big hit with children and teens. Watch in awe as the zookeepers feed the penguins, or learn fascinating facts during the tiger talk. These live demonstrations not only entertain but also educate young minds about animal behaviour and conservation.
Don’t miss the Land of the Lions exhibit, where kids can experience the sights and sounds of an Indian village while observing majestic Asiatic lions. The immersive design of the exhibit makes it feel like a real adventure.
Another highlight is the Butterfly Paradise, where children can walk among free-flying butterflies in a tropical environment. It’s a magical experience that’s sure to captivate their imaginations.
For those who love reptiles, the Reptile House offers a chance to see snakes, lizards, and even giant tortoises. The famous Komodo dragon is always a crowd-pleaser.
Finally, after a day of exploring, relax at one of the zoo’s cafes or enjoy a picnic in the beautiful surroundings of Regent’s Park.
With its diverse animal exhibits, engaging activities, and beautiful setting, London Zoo is a must-visit for families.

I love the zoo! Honestly, I don’t think the zoo loses it’s appeal at any age. Animal lover or not (although I am an animal lover), the zoo is so much fun. I loved seeing the amazing array of animals they had. Monkeys, Giraffes and even Lions. They had a really nice restaurant as well so we spent the whole day there which was a treat. As an added bonus, we got to see the reptile house where they filmed Harry Potter. That was pretty cool even though I don’t particularly like snakes!

The London Zoo is massive and quite busy, but it’s a great trip for the kids. At £35 for adults and £23 for kids, it’s not an inexpensive day out, but caring for thousands of animals isn’t either. See the painted dogs, komodo dragon, and giraffe pen.
Ah we love London Zoo! The Harry Potter reptile house is a firm favourite. It looks pricey but we’ve honestly never spent less than a whole day there, so it ends up being VFM and a real treat.
It’s HUGE btw.
The membership is well worth it if you think you might go more than a couple of times a year…. takes the pressure off and you can just pop in for a couple of hours……
