Here at KidRated HQ we were pretty excited when the latest trailer for the Paddington Bear film landed in our inboxes – if you haven’t watched it you should.
For a start the music is composed by dreamy Icelandic band Sigur Ros, who have even done a cameo for the Simpsons, so you know they’re cool.
It’s been produced by Harry Potter genius David Heyman, Paddington himself is voiced by the brilliant Ben Whishaw, otherwise known as Q from the James Bond films and Dr Who (Peter Capaldi) is in it too – although we’re not expecting any run-ins with Daleks.
The film isn’t out until November 28th, but if you can’t wait for that, as of the 4th November you can go on a Paddington Trail. 50 different Paddington statues will appear next to museums, parks and key landmarks all over London and will stay there until December 30th. Click here for a map.
Celebrities such as David Beckham, Benedict Cumberbatch, Ant & Dec, the Chelsea football team and even Paddington’s creator Michael Bond have all designed one of the bears which will be auctioned off for the NSPCC.
If you don’t fancy a big Paddington you can still support the NSPCC by buying a mini Paddington trail bear from Selfridges’ Paddington Curiousity Shop.
What would Aunt Lucy make of all that?!
