Legoland Windsor

Top Tips:

  • The Driving School and the Dragon are best to visit in the morning
  • Can’t make it to Central London? See all the iconic buildings in Miniland
  • Sunny day? You still might like a jacket for the water rides!
  • Why not combine with a trip to Windsor Castle?

Themed on everyone’s favourite toy, Legoland Windsor is a child’s theme park and resort. Live shows, attractions, building workshops and interactive rides all make this resort perfect for families. Live outside of London, or fancy venturing out? Why not check out Legoland Discovery Centre’s in Birmingham or Manchester?

The park is divided into zones so you can choose which area to explore from Vikings to Pharaohs. Kids can drive an electronic car around the Legoland driving course and gain an official Legoland Driving License! Just keep them from veering off course towards Miniland where nearly 40 million Lego pieces recreate well-known European and American attractions. Adventurous kids can hurtle around the castle on The Dragon or swing on the Jolly Roger while there is plenty for younger visitors to see and explore.

There are plenty of places to grab a bite to eat and a number of indoor activities for shelter in case of rain.

Pirate, Adventure, Kingdom or LEGO Friends rooms are available at the hotel meaning you can extend the fantastical Legoland experience beyond the park’s closing hours.

THE LEGO® MOVIE™ 4D A NEW ADVENTURE

Fans can get a fresh fix of their favourite heroes with “The LEGO® Movie™ 4D A New Adventure”, and ALL NEW 4D attraction, which reunites the characters from the original movie (from Warner Bros. Pictures, Village Roadshow Pictures and The LEGO® Group) at the LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort.  The new attraction brings together some of the original voices but features an entirely new plot mixed with amazing 4D effects, promising a uniquely imaginative interactive experience.

The riotous, action-packed plot sees Emmet, Wyldstyle, Unikitty, Benny and MetalBeard receive a mysterious invitation leading them to a new theme park, bearing a suspicious resemblance to LEGOLAND®. But all is not as it seems as the heroes are once again thrust into the middle of an evil secret plot masterminded by a totally new character, the scheming Risky Business. The larger-than-life experience will sweep the audience right into the action as the gang hurtle through a fast-paced adventure featuring some very special theme park attractions, from Unikitty’s cute and colourful ‘Wainbow Wubble World’ to Wyldstyle’s ‘Super Cycle Mega Ride’ and MetalBeard’s ‘Pirate Plunder Danger Cave’.   It’s up to Emmet and Wyldstyle, enlisting the Master Builder skills of the audience, to try and save the day.

  • Know which rides your kids can go on (height and age restrictions) and which they want to try and then prioritise.
  • Arrive early and head to the back of the park first as those rides won’t have queues yet.
  • If you can handle staying the whole day the rides do have shorter queues in the last hour before closing.
  • When you need a break from rides there’s a good outdoor pirate play area for the kids to climb and for you to sit down.
  • If you go on a wet ride and get completely soaked you can use the stand-up air dryers.
  • Be aware there’s very limited 3G signal and no wifi.
