As always the Imagine Children’s Festival features awesome interactive exhibitions and some of the biggest names in children’s literature. Highlights this year include Children’s Laureate Chris Riddell; a screening of The Little Mermaid powered by bicycles. Appearances from Olympic legend turned children’s author Sir Chris Hoy; a family rave; LEGO Masterclasses and a Book at Bedtime for youngsters. Book online to avoid disappointment.

Magical Lantern Festival

magical lantern festival 2017If you still haven’t been to the Magical Lantern Festival it’s on throughout half term. See the spectacular lights, enjoy some delicious street food and even have a spin around the ice rink.

This year celebrates the cultural and historical impace of The Silk Road so visitors will travel in zones that represents Europe, Persia, India amnd China taking in some familiar illuminated landmarks along the way. Take a camera!
