KidRated’s LIFT Top Tips:

  • Great for teens and older kids
  • It’s ok to be jealous of the kids The Vale and Northumberland Park Community Schooles in Tottenham who get to see and rate every show for the Children’s Choice Award
  • The Children’s Choice Awards are FREE

LIFT Festival is a biennial festival across the whole of London that transforms the city into a stage. For four whole weeks shows will be performed all over, from renowned theatres to East London graveyards.

The international performers have been finetuning their crafts for the past two years and now is their chance to really shine. So the best thing you can do is go out and support them by watching. Some performances are not for kids, but if you’re the parent of a teenager there’ll be loads for you to see.

Our picks include the Hamilton Complex at the Unicorn Theatre (13+) by HETPALEIS – one of Belgium’s leading theatres for young people.

The Children’s Choice Awards at the Unicorn Theatre are also bound to be great as two school from Tottenham get to review all the shows of the festival.

If you’re up for something spooky, ‘Depart’ at the Tower Hamlets Cemetary Park, will be right up your street.
