Award-winning journalist, writer and broadcaster, David Quantick, specialises in comedy and music.
Throughout his career he has worked with some of the brightest and best of the British comedy and music scenes and his writing credits include Spitting Image, The Day Today, So Graham Norton, Brass Eye, Smack the Pony, TV Burp, The Thick of It, Danger Mouse and recent the Beano film – Dennis And Gnasher Unleashed on the Big Screen!
He also scooped an Emmy for his work on Veep!

I’ve just written a radio play called Whatever Happened to Baby Jane Austen. It tells the story of two women, respected novelist Florence and her movie star sister Selina and stars Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders.
David’s latest novel Night Train is all available. Described as a “wild postmodern ride” it has earned rave reviews including this one by the guys at Sublime Horror.
As a kid Madame Tussauds, because my dad would make me go and talk to people who always turned out to be waxworks. I always fell for it and I still think it’s hilarious.
Devon, where I grew up. There’s the sea, the countryside, lots of cream, several cows, and Dartmoor, which is like if the Moon was cool.
Our family are very young so it’s the park cafe in Hastings, Eat @ The Park. The food is great, they do decent kids’ meals and you can wind up the dog by leaving him outside.
Food, walking, a nap, and then somewhere like a museum with space rockets. My wife Jenna likes nature so maybe we could see some animals.
So long as we went home on a miniature railway.

Car or foot. Buggies don’t seem to like London very much.
Walk as much as you can. It’s cheaper and you’re still faster than a car.
