If you’re animal-lovers, thrill-seekers, or simply like to relax and enjoy a good show, Chessington World Of Adventures is the place for you. Tickets, sold for both day breaks and short trips, give you access to the theme park, zoo, sea life centre, and daily shows and activities.
Resort hotels are also available for those wishing to stay longer. There are over 40 rides and attractions, spread across 10 themed zones, and over 1000 exotic animals, including the popular Asiatic lions and Humboldt penguins. Kids can pet farm animals and the Sea Life Centre teaches children about our oceans with exhibitions, feeding sessions and a chance to view sea creatures at close proximity by walking through the tunnel. Shows take place in all three sections of Chessington World of Adventures and are extremely popular.
If animals and roller coasters are your idea of fun why not take a look at our reviews of London Zoo and Thorpe Park.
I’d say Chessington is best for kids and OK for teens. I had a good time here with my family but it’s not got the same thrills for teenagers as Thorpe Park. Wouldn’t recommend for group of teenagers but it’s good for a family with a teenager.
That said, a good day out, a small but well looked after zoo, a mini safari where you see the typical African animals, plenty of choice for food and a sea life centre.
Recently took my friend’s 4 year and was a little disappointed by how tired everything looked. Disney-like queues as well even for the rides for the little ones. Slightly disappointing form an adult point of view but the 4 year old loved it.
